Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT):

Microneedling produces microscopic punctures in the skin, creating a wound which stimulates the dermis to form more collagen and elastin over approximately the course of four weeks following the procedure. Some people see results in as little as three days. CIT has a high efficacy in evening out both textured scars and, as in stretchmarks, concave scars. CIT also stimulates melanin production in hypopigmented areas, and improves hyperpigmentation, by dispersing melanated skin cells. CIT is not advisable for keloid scars or in persons who have a history of excessively dark scarring.
