Scalp and facial Micropigmentation (SMP)

Micropigmentation with specialty pigments is an effective cosmetic approach to camouflaging hair loss of all degrees for both men and women. Whether you desire a manicured close-shaven look for a full scalp procedure, or detailed shading of balding or thinning hair areas, SMP can achieve realistic results for the illusion of highly realistic hair growth.
Surgical scars (FUT scars) from hair transplant procedures, are seamlessly camouflaged utilizing a delicate hair pixelization technique. Specialized SMP inks are used for optimal color matching and saturation, factoring hair color and skin tone. I also use multiple needle diameters to create finer and courser follicle size, inherent to different areas on the scalp and hairline. I use Emerald SMP needle cartridges, a top-line in the SMP industry, which have a locking mechanism assuring realistic, high-precision pixels.
Scalp micropigmentation is a wonderful restorative aesthetic option for all 7 hair loss stages on the Norwood scale. If you require hairline restoration, precise mapping will be done factoring your head shape, measurements and the natural hairline you had prior to hair loss. Any specific stylized hair-cut hairline can be created. I can also achieve multiple hair colors, such as gradations of grey, utilizing varietal hues and dilutions for the most realistic aesthetic. As pigments for SMP fade subtly over the course of 2-4 years, you will never have the wrong hair-color. If your hair color changes over time, or you desire a different hairline, SMP can adjust with you, so you will always have a natural, personalized look.
SMP procedures can be very laborious. A full scalp treatment, including consult and mapping, takes upwards of five hours, typically being spread out over two or three treatments. Subsequent treatments may be done after two weeks. SMP does not adversely affect the hair you have, and may even stimulate new hair growth. SMP is not painful, and can be done on adolescents. This highly detailed technique will produce the illusion of real hair growth; no one will know you’ve had a tattoo. Your micropigmentation will typically last 3-4 years before needing a touch-up.
Facial Hair:
In some cases, due to scars or a medical condition such as alopecia, there may be missing or patchy facial hair. Depending on the efficacy of hormone replacement therapies and other variables, some trans men may benefit from facial micropigmentation, if a more permanent facial hair look is desired.
